The North American Flyball Association is being hosted by Friends of Festival Country K9s on Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Park Discovery and Cedar Middle School.
There will be 14 teams competing with an average of 6 dogs per team. The teams will be coming in from surrounding states to compete. This is the first time that Cedar City has hosted an event like this and we hope to host many more such events.
Flyball is a sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of jumps (hurdles), to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses a spring-loaded pad. |

Friends of Festival Country K9s hosted a Pet Adoption and Low Cost Microchip Clinic at Petsense in Cedar City on Saturday, April 20th with huge success. There were 9 dogs adopted out to new homes and Petsense offered free baths and grooming on all.
Friends of Festival Country K9s has been working hard with the local Iron County shelters and rescues to find new homes for the animals of Iron County so we can become a place with "No More Homeless Pets".
FFCK9s offer super low cost microchipping to these newly adopted pets ($20 per pet) to help offset their other expenses of helping with vaccinating, spay and neuter, grooming, & pet food. |

The Dog Listener is a video presented by the AKC. It is a great video for children and adults to understand how a dogs mind works. From meeting a new dog to the different types of barks they make, it is a good tool for learning.
Our group is promoting this video. Once watched, you will understand why.
